Facilities UpdateThe new Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve is now open! July 19, 2007 started with our "Construction Kickoff" to celebrate the beginning of our new center and preserve with Southlake Mayor Wambsganss and members of the Southlake City Council, SPDC, Parks Board, Bob Jones Nature Center And Preserve board, City Staff and BJNC Members in attendance. We at Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve in Southlake just enjoyed a full month (April) activities centered around our grand opening of our new facilities and nature preserve, and we would like as many people as possible to know about our new preserve (additional 70 acres and facility adjacent to the Bob Jones Park). We had a tremendous turn out on opening day (4/19th), and would like to invite more folks to come out to see where we're located and enjoy the natural surroundings we offer.
We are between Grapevine and Westlake, TX. Our new nature center facility is located just 2.5 miles North of Hwy 114. Coming from either direction on Hwy 114, just take the N. White Chapel Blvd exit and proceed North on N. White Chapel. Continue past the Bob Jones Park and
then turn Right (East) onto East Bob Jones Road. Come out for a visit!…
