Fall Teachers

If you love the outdoors, have a respect for nature...creatures big and small, and have a passion for working with young children...Bob Jones Nature Center is looking for you! We offer educational programs unlike any other in the area. Children explore the woods and trails on our site with a highly qualified teacher where they not only learn about science, but also experience that primal instinct to get dirty, be active, and have fun.

Candidates must have previous experience working with young children, glowing references, and preferably a degree in a related field such as education, early childhood development, environmental sciences, etc. You must be able to pass a background check before employment.

Candidates must be physically fit with reasonably good endurance. We are outside for much of the day. We do have cooling stations and water play available, but you will need to be prepared to be sweaty, dirty, wet, and energetic every day...with a smile and a positive attitude.

We are looking for teachers who are confident in being able to present the curriculum in a way that meshes with our objectives, but who can also personalize instruction and make it their own. We don't want our teachers to come off as 'generic' so please come with personality!

To teach at Bob Jones Nature Center is more than just a teaching job. It is about being in touch with nature and being part of a community that values the environment just as you do.

Candidates interested in the position should submit their resume to admin@bjnc.org.
